As a long term League of Legends fan, I chose to pursue a fan-made project, not affiliated with Riot Games on the beloved Star Guardian universe by designing assets for Celestial Clash, a rotating game mode where players take on the role of Star Guardian champions in a magical, celestial battle.
Concept
Celestial Clash is a Star Guardian-themed rotating game mode where teams battle in a celestial arena divided into four unique quadrants, each reflecting a Star Guardian narrative or environment. Players choose from a roster of Star Guardian champions
Development
I built a new-player experience that captured the Star Guardian event’s youthful, “girl-crush” energy—joyful, colorful, and aspirational—delivered as a standalone flow separate from the League client. The goal was to make first launch feel like a surprise celebration rather than a tutorial.
Iconography
Key designs included iconography for each individual champion within the Star Guardian universe. Those respective champions being Ahri, Ezreal, Syndra and Soraka. My designs were informed by their existing character design.
Player Banners
I chose to create 4 key screens as seen in League of Legends client during events. Key designs include iconography for each individual champion (Ahri, Ezreal, Syndra and Soraka)
Informed by their existing character design within the Star Guardian Universe.

Augment Cards + CTA
Building on the existing Star Guardian brand identity—and mirroring its CTA styling—I designed silver, gold, and prismatic tiered gradients for augments, tuned for Clash-like and TFT gameplay.


First Time User Experience
The landing page showcases Star Guardian themes and animation, with buttons linking to champion skin bundles that include an icon, banner, and skin.
The event page guides players through the event overview, skins, battle pass, and the new Celestial Clash mode.
