2025 TEDxUofW conference, a student-led event
that brings together local speakers to share their personal stories within the larger UW community.
Concept
Resonance showcases how one idea can echo and shape the world, leaving a lasting impact.
Development
Built from the world’s smallest structures — atoms — and paired with the seamless fluidity of motion, this identity expresses a singular idea.
I worked as a brand designer, creating essential assets such as banners, posters, and nametags. Collaborating closely with my peers, we iterated on a final wordmark that became the cornerstone of our design system and guided the overall aesthetic of our annual website and event signage.

(noun) A single action or idea can echo and shape the world, leaving a lasting impact.
The way a single action, idea, or event emerges and continues to echo over time, creating waves that extend far beyond the initial moment.

What is TedxUofW?
TEDxUofW was established to bring inspirational yet informative TED style talks to the University of Washington based in Seattle. Since 2012, our student organization has sought to give amazing speakers a receptive audience to share their passions with.



Bumper
The motion team brought our vision to life through a dynamic advertisement, echoing three powerful ideas — time, impact, and action — embodied by three unique symbols.
Web Design
The design and web development teams brought our brand to life online with a working site for 2025 conference details and ticket sales.

Reflection
Collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team of designers — spanning motion graphics, web, and UX research — was an incredible experience that closely simulated working within a design agency. Each designer brought a distinct sense of style: from Chris’s avant-garde, new-age aesthetic to Stephanie and Ronan’s eccentric and dynamic motion graphics. Under Emily’s stern yet minimalistic leadership, we learned how to blend our diverse approaches into a cohesive visual identity across assets and platforms. Through this process, we successfully designed and executed an entirely student-run annual TEDxUofW conference.
